GW is the journal of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Geomatics Group. Our readers are professional and technically qualified members of the RICS, the UK's qualifying institution for surveyors and professionals working in the geospatial and geoinformation fields. The journal is circulated, through printed and digital editions, to industry professionals throughout the world.
The surveying profession, once regarded mainly as a site-based activity, has changed rapidly in recent years.
